New Year, New Business Plan!

Small Business Calendar 2014

Last year I decided to open up a sewing business.  It was intended to be a bit of a hobby business and I really didn’t plan how to launch or what I was going to do with it.  Towards the end of 2013 it began to feel like maybe I should do something more with it.

I officially launched on Black Friday to overwhelming applause.  So overwhelming that I didn’t actually have the stock on hand needed to fill my orders.  I spent ALL of December in a back order status.  Each time a shipment of stock arrived, I quickly sold out and was back to having to ask people to be patient while I waited for the next shipment of supplies to arrive.  While I could have had worse issues as a new business, this is not a situation I want to repeat.

I have entered 2014 with a new and better plan for my business.  But my trouble has been that I haven’t been able to find a business planner that has what I’m looking for.  So, I’ve decided to make my own!

A full business planner, complete with weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual goals, will be available in my shop soon.  My hope is to create a more complete planner than the ones I have found.  I know that there are other small business owners out there who could benefit from it just as much as I will.

In the mean time, I have created a small business calendar.  My goal was to create a calendar that would help take some of the stress out of planning each month.  It has major (sales) holidays label and reminders each month for what is coming up to help you be prepared to plan.  It also have Sale Planner sheets and Monthly Goals sheets to help keep your small business on track.
