How to Fold Plastic Bags For Easy Storage
If you are like me, you probably have a large collection of plastic bags from your various shopping excursions. I try to re-use them as poo bags or garbage can liners in our bathrooms, but without fail I run out of space for them. We have reusable grocery bags but we are also human and forget them. Recycling them is great but also requires a special trip as soon as I drop them off, I find myself in need of a plastic bag. Oy Vey!
BUT WAIT! I’ve got a simple solution that takes very little time! Fold those plastic bags up for easy storage!
To be honest I feel dumb I never tried this before. It’s just like flying notes to pass in class. It’s literally that easy.
First you gotta smooth out the bag. This is a good time to check the bag fr holes that might make it unusable as a poo bag or garbage bag, or whatever you are saving them for.
Next fold the bag in half, smoothing again.
And fold in half again.
Now fold a la junior high note passing style. Fold the corner up as shown and then continue to fold the triangle up the length.
You should end up with something like this:
Now tuck the little tail in and you’d got a. Ice triangle that stores easily and takes up very little space.
How do you store your plastic bags?
I love the idea of this, it looks so neat and tidy! My only concern is around how long it would take to fold and unfold each bag.

They fold really quickly. Not much longer than folding a piece of paper in the same manner. i do it on the couch while watching TV 🙂 and the unfold in seconds. I just pull the tab out and shake. 🙂 Hope that helps!
I need to do this!! We have so many plastic bags, and I just can’t seem to part with any of them. They’ve taken over an entire section of our kitchen cabinets (albeit the smallest section. But still).
